Baby Isaac’s Card

Standard

Hello there. I love, love, love making new baby cards! There are a few reasons for this: babies are beautiful (goes without saying), it’s a good excuse for making an ultra-cute card, and because people keep the cards that they receive when their babies are born so it’s a keepsake, a bit special. I was asked to make this at the weekend by Jenny. Two of her friends have given birth to baby boys in the last few weeks, how lovely (and expensive!)! This card is a complete collage of goodies! Here goes…… birdie background, spotty blue half-circle (x2, for a 3D effect) paper by Papermania. I’ve punched out some blue lace using my Martha Stewart punch to add a bit of interest. The name label is made using a Nitwits stamp with a couple of buttons mounted with high sticky pads. A ‘Lilli of The Valley’ ‘A Special Day’ stamp, coloured with chalks and mounted on a die-cut tells the date of birth. The main characters are the gorgeous little owls, very cute. The finishing touches- sticky ribbon, wavy silver peel-off strip, silver numbers from the Tatty Teddy range tell you how heavy Isaac was, and tiny pastel butterflies dotted around just for the hell of it! Lets hope it goes down well with the new little family…..ahhhhhhh!
